Our Origin

The Precious Blood Spirituality Institute was established in 2021 through a partnership with religious institutes devoted to the Precious Blood of Jesus: The Adorers of the Blood of Christ, The Sisters of the Precious Blood, The Sisters of the Most Precious Blood, and the Missionaries of the Precious Blood. Our mission is rooted in the Precious Blood of Jesus, the saving blood that recognizes the dignity of God's mercy found within every human person.

The Precious Blood Spirituality Institute brings our mission to life by:

Encouraging collaborative efforts that promote the spirituality of our member communities.
Offering opportunities to foster relationships.
Fostering the continued development of Precious Blood Spirituality through the Robert J. Schreiter Institute of Precious Blood Spirituality to develop a theological perspective that informs our spirituality.

Prayer for Jubilee Year by Pope Francis

Please join the Precious Blood communities around the world who are joining with the Holy Father to participate in prayer. Our reflections include seven months of reflections on the seven blood sheddings of Christ.

Reflection - December 2024: The Blood of the Child Jesus, a cry for life, defense, respect and dignity of every child.

Reflection - January 2025: The sweat of the Blood of Christ and the blood sweat of those who are exploited.

Reflection - February 2025: The blood of Christ scourged in those who are innocently condemned, exposed to the media pillory, deprived of truth and justice, victims of the various systems, political, religious, cultural, social, delinquent.

Reflection - March 2025: Blood of Christ crowned with thorns in those who, stripped of dignity, freedom, faith, culture, home, work, affection, family, are driven to madness and made insignificant not only in the body but also in the mind.

Reflection - April 2025: Blood of Christ shed in the carrying of the cross by those who are laden with faults, burdens, responsibilities that are not their own, by those who are mocked for their condition, abandoned and moved for their situation even in society, and by those who do not have the courage or the strength to get up again because they are alone and abandoned by all.
